Administration Assistant (part time), Augusta based

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Administration Assistant to join the team in Augusta.
The role will primarily provide administrative support across a varied range of finance, human resources and operational functions, including;
• Administration assistance for the Augusta processing facility, including processing, production and harvesting records.
• Preparation of transportation and export documentation, packaging and labelling.
• Maintaining contractor, service and maintenance records, including monitoring and arranging equipment calibration.
• Human Resource documentation, including rosters and time/wages records.
• Assist in planning and performing cyclical stocktakes and general stock control.
• Liaising with the Perth based finance team to provide accurate and timely accounts related documents.
• Processing and recording sales transactions and organising freight.
• Preparation of correspondence, reports, data and file management as required.

The role will also be involved in arranging and conducting tours of the processing facility providing to guests and visitors with information about the history, innovation and growth of the Company.

We are seeking applications from candidates with a strong administration and office all-rounder background, who enjoy the working relationships and diversity of duties associated with a small business environment.

Previous experience, skills and attributes will include;
• An advanced working knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and accounting software.
• An excellent working knowledge of office practices, including the use of purchase orders, account payable and associated functions.
• A good working knowledge of Australian export requirements.
• The ability to work independently, monitoring own work load and deadlines.
• A positive and professional manner.

Assistant Processing Manager, Augusta based

An opportunity has become available for a 2IC / assistant to the Processing Manager to join the team in Augusta.
The role will primarily provide support across a varied range of operational functions, including;
• Assisting the Augusta based Processing Manager in the day to day planning and operations of the processing facility.
• Performing processing activities, including abalone processing and general maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Planning maintenance for plant and equipment.
• Supervising process operators in the performance of their roles.
• Ensuring that safety, export, quality and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Planning and communicating daily dive and processing activities.
• Maintaining data records of processing activities.
• Open and closing of the processing facility premises (as required).
• General duties, including preparation of product, transport and invoicing documentation.

We are seeking applications from candidates with an employment history and interest in fisheries, agriculture, processing or maintenance who enjoy the working relationships and diversity of duties associated with a small business environment. Essential to the role will be the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, visitors and customers.
Previous experience, skills and attributes will include;
• A working knowledge of OHS and Hygiene standards.
• Physically able to perform processing functions.
• Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi task and supervise activities.
• General maintenance skills.
• Manual drivers license (essential).
• Forklift operation (high risk permit highly regarded)
• A good working knowledge of Australian export requirements.
• A working knowledge and application of Microsoft products.
• Planning and performing stock takes.
• Maintenance planning.

Casual Seafood Processing Attendant

Date of Post: 3rd Sept 2020

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated Seafood Processing Attendant to join our team in Augusta.
We are looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys working in a cool environment and appreciates high quality standards towards seafood production.

The role entails, but is not limited to;

Processing of abalone (shucking, cleaning and freezing)
Unloading and handling live abalone
Weighing and checking quality of abalone
Packing live and frozen abalone with both live tank and freezer storage
Cleaning down processing areas to Food Safety Standards
Working as part of a team to achieve the required daily outcomes
Certification in Food Handling and Hygiene would be viewed as an advantage but not essential
Experience in marine animal husbandry and/or aquaculture viewed as an advantage but not essential
